New 72-pin connectors, which are manufactured in China, are less reliable than the original 72-pin connectors supplied by Nintendo. The cheaper connectors will not last as long, make insertion/removal of cartridges difficult (death grip) and frequently have defective pins. Even the original connectors will get dirty over time if you do not keep your games clean. They are still the best connectors made, however. We clean and adjust the pins to bring the original connectors back to like-new working condition.
